I’m soaring, flying……(If you know the rest you’re cool!)

So I’m sitting on this plane soaring through the air listening to JP Cooper and I realise - THIS IS REAL!! This is by far going to be the most exciting and challenging year of my life to date. I’ve left everything I know and I’m off to Texas to start this new chapter. 

Rewind to 14 days ago…..Big three days ahead

1 - My last day at work. Three and a half years has gone by REAL quick (#lifelesson1 - Time just doesn’t wait). Good times. Interesting times. Great people. Lots of laughs. Gone by fast but so many memories replaying as I’m walking through the gates for the last time. 

2 - CRICKEY I’m a quarter of a century today!!! AAGGHHHH!!!!! WOW I’m feeling old - starting to think about my pension! But seriously I’ve got a lot to be thankful for and I am definitely feeling very blessed to have a loving family and bunch of friends around me #feelingold #treasuretherigththings 

3 - Raising money for Pais today and feeling kinda nervous about how this BBQ Fundraiser is gonna go. It goes great. I really do have great family and fiends. People came out to support and I have a great time raising money for an organisation I really believe in #goodtimes

Days go past in a blur and suddenly I’ve only got 6 days to spend #qualitytime with peeps, pack my bags and enjoy London.

Countdown…..

6 - #bookclub #shoreditch great night out with a dear few. Shapes being cut and thrown left, right and center lol 

5 - Treated to a lovely meal #canary wharf - a good meal and an even better debate - they truly know my heart lol 

4 - Church in the morning. Really enjoyed it. The pastor came fresh with the word from Texas. Went to The Lion and the Unicorn and made a new friend while doing a pub quiz  - I only knew 3 of the 50 answers!!

3,2 - Rush!! Get all packed and spend some much needed time with my beautiful niece and the rest of my family. 

1 - My last day in LONDON. So I’m 25 years old and am not ashamed to say that I possibly had more fun that my 4 year old niece in the park today. She may as well have taken me lol. I’m also mega excited because my very good friend has an afternoon/evening of fun planned and I really have no idea what to expect. 
So the afternoon starts and walk along the canal (cool artwork on the left) to the park where we have a bottle of our favourite cider and enjoy the view.

Then we Boris Bike to Shoreditch (She knows me oh too well!) The Bike Ride is EPIC and I’m sweating more than Serena Williams. Hummingbirds rainbow cake and Rough Trade photo booth pics. Now this is the tears of joy moment. We get to Oslo #hackneycentral and we join this long looking cue (me and cues don’t vibe -_-) but I’m excited trying to guess what she’s bought tickets for. She hands me the envelop - I pull out the tickets - JP Cooper!!!! TOTAL EXCITEMENT!!! If you don't know him - click here and be blessed :-) Great opening acts, Great set from JP. Happy days. 

TODAY IS THE DAY - Flight day - I’m at the airport with my whole family and it’s feeling so weird that I won’t physically see them for a year!! I say my goodbyes and walk towards security. Emotional - Thank you to the African mama who hugged me when I got through security and the emotions hit. 

After an almost four hour flight delay/reschedule I was on en route to Sunny Texas. 

Now I know plane food gets a lot of stick but the lunch (chicken curry and chick pea salad) I had was kinda tasty you know #nolie MUCH better than the KFC and Barry’s (If you don’t know - you don’t know) I‘ve had recently. 
We land safely. Thank You God! Texas - I’m ready for you.
